Currently, the Roxana Fire Department operates from a single station on West 3rd Street and covers approximately 12 square miles. The Department is contracted with Kendall Hill subdivision for emergency services, responds for automatic mutual aid with South Roxana Fire Protection District, and, as requested, to Conoco Phillips Refinery to support their Emergency Response Team.
The Department consists of three full-time firefighters and a paid-on-call roster of 15 firefighters. The Fire Department handles a multitude of emergency calls including; structure fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle crashes, refinery emergencies, motor vehicle fires, and incidents involving hazardous materials.
Just as the members who have come before us, the Roxana Fire Department continues to provide quick and professional service to the residence of the Village of Roxana and all who pass through it.
